So we scooped up the strawberries, dirt and all into piles we would sort later- easy right?
My poor poor strawberries. Let me just say that I had the best of intentions. We have a LOT of tires- semi truck size and what a great idea to stack them up, drill holes in them and use them as strawberry planters. The tires would absorb the heat (which strawberries love) and we would be repurposing something that we have a lot of. Sounds like a win!
Here is how the plan started out….
How hard can this be to drill a hole? These two couldn’t do it….
Nope- not this either…
Clearly us poor mortals aren’t strong enough- I get it, these truck tires are designed to be tough, but now several hours have passed and no success…
When all else fails, -more power! Victory with the drill press!
So I’m doing some quick math… it took about 3 hours to get this 1 hole, much misery and to be honest, language- and there are needing to be roughly 640 holes in total- ya that’s not gonna work…
Think we are going to need another plan- and fast as it is getting on strawberry time and we literally buried the plants…
